This bike is in fabulous condition. Looks almost new, with less than 17,000 miles. I bought it new Sept 1997. Garaged and only ridden in the dry. Datatagged. Datatool alarm and immobiliser factory-fitted. Scottoiler. Paintwork, chrome and fabulous alloy frame in brilliant condition except for a couple of small blemishes (please see photos). Every piece of paperwork since new. Two keys. MOT until Aug 2014. Original except for front mudguard extender and rear hugger. Serviced 641, 4183, 6461, 10,719 and 14,358 miles. New carb diaphragms fitted last year so it runs sweetly and ticks over smoothly. New tyres. Battery in tip top condition with use of ‘smart’ charger over winter. This was the GSX-R beater of its time and has huge torque. A wonderful engine on which I average over 50 mpg, which isn’t bad for a high performance bike. As you probably guess from the above, I love the bike dearly and would happily go on riding it, but my wife doesn’t want me using it anymore. If she is going to worry every time I go out on it, I can’t justify riding it. Main dealer who looks after the bike tells me that 900′s like the RF are becoming very popular.
