Here is my rather unique Buell X1 Lightening for sale. It has only 2k miles on the clock, which I believe is genuine, as this bike originally came from Jersey (it is a UK spec bike) and was an unfinished partially dismantled project that somebody had started and then mothballed years ago. I have also contacted the original supplying Buell dealership in Jersey and they knew of this particular bike and the previous owner and although they no longer have any records for the bike on their upgraded computer system, they also believe the mileage is genuine (email evidence available). I am told that it was originally yellow in colour with a purple frame and wheels….. no wonder it was taken off the road!! The previous owner had obviously spent a small fortune on just about every Buell bolt on custom / go faster accessory that you can think of. Since buying it, I have merely got it going again by unclogging the fuel injection system, where it had stood unused for years and the petrol turned to varnish, with injector cleaner and put the rest of the custom parts on it that had been amassed, put it through an MOT and taxed it, as well as getting it registered with a UK age related plate. Now it is time to let somebody else have the chance to own, enjoy and use it! The new parts that have been fitted on it are as follows: Custom exhaust system, air box, new tyres, battery, ECM electronic race unit, steel brake hoses (front brake only), carbon hugger, carbon twin headlight unit, carbon front mudguard, alloy under-seat tray, custom oil breathers, chrome oil filter, new genuine Harley oil, new brake pads. I am sure there is other things that I have missed from this list, but it gives you an idea of what has been spent on it. I have probably only ridden it for 30 miles max since putting it back on the road, but can state that it rides as you would expect, apart from the back brake needing bleeding / attention and it sounds amazing too!!
