Selling my 2001 honda Firestorm. Always fancied one and its a great bike, but increasing problems with my wrists have led me to buy something more upright.
The bike is in fantastic condition, tyres like new, chain, sprockets, brakes etc all good. I carried out a full service (genuine filter, irridium plugs, oil and filter, brake strip/clean etc) a few months and 500 miles ago. MOT till March next year, currently on sorn. New Yuasa battery fitted 22/08/2014 (quality battery) I have a wallet containing original handbook, old mots and a stack of reciepts. It is clear this bike has been looked after, v5c present in my name.
Extras include double bubble screen, bellypan, scottoiler and full stainless system with road legal Fuel cans. Sounds great with the baffles in, or if you prefer take the baffles out, the sound is fantastic.
The bike is also datatagged and fitted with a meta alarm/immobiliser. i have two keys, two fobs and the master code for the alarm. Insurance for me is £80 a year.
The weaknesses of this bike have been addressed; Manual cam chain tensioners are fitted (Engine wrecking failure of the originals is common) The reg/rec has been replaced and the notoriously soft front forks have had uprated springs and oil so the bike rides as well as it looks, the v twin engine is strong and the gears are slick and precise.
All in all a great bike, bags of character and fantastic handling. Viewing welcome and advised
